The car -photovoltaic car represents a great opportunity to develop the photovoltaic sector. It represents an exceptional deposit for the energy transition in a context in which France is late on its objectives. This is the reason why it is essential to define an incentive regulatory framework in favor of its development. This frame must also be stable:
- To give visibility to the players in the sector
- It is better readability and understanding for consumers and investors.

Within the photovoltaic sector, the car -consuma has several advantages in terms of costs for the community:
- In most situations, the costs of connecting to the electrical network of an installation of car -production are lower than those of an installation for everyone’s sale. First of all, it is not necessary to create a specific and independent connection. So, for installations of less than 36 kWc, only a meter (linky) is sufficient to count racking and consumption. In addition, the injection power is generally lower than or equal to the shelving power. And finally, there are no connection costs for the specific network.
- In the consumption of cars -consium, the production is located near the production. It is not necessary to transport energy for long distances. Therefore: less losses and less transport capacity.
- In self -consumption, the consumer manufacturer is interested in its consumption. He is more encouraged to control and master him. It is a factor in favor of controlling the demand for energy. It is also an opportunity to develop innovations in terms of consumer management and its adequacy with production.
- The car -photovoltaic contest is acclaimed by consumers interested in photovoltaics. They will invest in self -consumption when they do not do it if it were just a matter of selling all their production (which would be equivalent to a simple financial placement).
- Ultimately, the car -consum will be of direct support. This solution will be self -proprietary when it is difficult to predict such a scenario for other forms of renewable energy production.

Which support for the car -photovoltaic convening?
The car -consumo is currently supported by two very distinct vehicles:
- Direct support in the form of an investment prize and a regulated excess sales price (excess production at a certain moment: this energy is injected on the network)
- Indirect support since consumers of themselves pay no network expenses, contributions, no fees for the part of the production they consume directly.
Long -term stability and visibility on indirect support
The most important factor for the development of the car -Consummer is a sustainably stable support framework. This would allow actors in the sector to consider long -term development strategies based on investments.
Therefore, it is above all essential to guarantee the sustainability of indirect support. Consumers should in no way pay the charges of electricity they produce and consume directly.
Simplification of direct support
Direct support requires to be simplified to give more clarity to consumers. But also reduce development costs and uncertainties for investors. To this object, Terre Solaire offers two very simple developments in photovoltaic regulations:
- Complete payment of the premium to the investment in validating the purchase contract:
The investment premium granted within the framework of the purchase obligation contract is currently paid in the first 5 years following the commissioning of photovoltaic installations. This requires customers to advance the entire installation amount. A premium paid at once by the establishment of the purchase contract between the manufacturer and the mandatory buyer will promote investments making it more accessible.
- Increase in the power threshold of the purchase obligation rate at 250 kWc:
The calls of races generate strong uncertainty for the developers and investors of the project. Furthermore, this necessarily generates additional costs that in the end must be transported by the community. It would be clearly preferable to set the supporting power threshold for support for open meter up to 250 kWc/ year adding a power category from 100 to 250 kWc.
